Liverpool City Council has been awarded a grant of £1.27 million from the Warm Homes Fund for the installation of first-time gas central heating systems.

The offer is being match funded by Next Energy, who will be responsible for the installation of the systems.

Two hundred homes have already benefited from this time-limited offer. First-time gas central heating is completely free if you have never had a central heating system in your home.

Installation of a gas central heating system can help reduce illnesses related to living in a cold home such as Pneumonia, Asthma and Bronchitis and allows you to control your heating around your home more effectively.

Loft insulation could save you up to £225 a year and cavity wall insulation up to £225 a year. These improvements will also keep you warm and comfortable over the winter months.

The offer is open to those who own their own home, have never had a gas central heating system in place before and are in receipt of certain benefits. Click here for the full criteria.

If you think you are eligible, give Healthy Homes a call on freephone 0800 012 1754, mobile 07764443855 or email healthyhomesprogramme@liverpool.gov.uk.

Please note that this is a limited time offer. It doesn’t matter how you are heating your home currently or if you have no gas connection to the property.

Healthy Homes staff will always carry Liverpool City Council ID. Please ask to see ID before allowing anybody into your property.
